Hello! My name is Gustavo Falero Recalde. I’m from Uruguay. I was been a newspaper salesman, lawyer, international salesperson, and motorcycle tour guide. And here I am going to tell you a story. A trip through Africa, on a motorcycle and with the mate. Traveling was always an ideal for me. Investigate what happens beyond the village in which we live.

I started travelling in Southamerica, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile. Then was time for Europe and Scandinavia, on board of the immortal Yamaha, an XJ 600 from 1988. Then I decided it was time to go into Africa. What at first was just another trip, ended up being an adventure and an experience that was going to change my life. Africa is not what people say, many things are said that in the end are not true.

For this trip I did not have any information, I was not prepared at all and the bike was not ideal. But it was going to be the trip of my life. 580 days of travel, 34,000 km, 18 countries. Many friends on the way. A million new experiences. Another million unanswered questions. I learned to value what we have, to be more tolerant, less judgmental and to trust … to trust … people. Ahoj! Jmenuji se Gustavo Falero Recalde a jsem z Uruguaye. Byl jsem prodavač novin, právník, mezinárodní prodejce a průvodce na motocyklu. A tady vám povím příběh. Cesta Afrikou, na motorce a s kamarádem.

Začal jsem cestovat po Jižní Americe, Uruguayi, Argentině a Chile. Pak jsem vyrazil do Evropy a do Skandinávie, na palubě nesmrtelné Yamahy. Pak jsem se rozhodl, že je čas vyrazit do Afriky. Zpočátku to byl jen další výlet, který nakonec skončil jako velké dobrodružství, které změnilo můj život.

O této cestě jsem neměl žádné informace, nebyl jsem vůbec připraven a motorka nebyla ideální. Ale byla to cesta mého života. 580 dní na cestě, 34 000 km, 18 zemí. Mnoho nových přátel. Milion nových zkušeností. Další milion nezodpovězených otázek. Naučil jsem se vážit si toho, co máme, být tolerantnější, méně kritický a důvěřovat lidem.
