Photographer Martin Rak
Born in Prague, at the heart of Europe, Martin grew up surrounded by various types of landscape. Its beauty and diversity, be it wooded mountain sides, cliffs with clear views, fields with tree alleys or foggy river valleys, inspired him to hike, spend time in wilderness and explore new places. One passion soon led to another: the idea of capturing landscape in its finest, thus paying tribute to the unequalled beauty of nature. What started as childhood hobby and continued as beloved free time activity has, slowly but surely, become his profession. As such, landscape and travel photography found its place in Martin’s everyday life where it has always belonged. For him, being a photographer means searching for new locations, thinking of possible compositions, checking weather forecasts, and waiting for the moment to come when conditions seem promising and it is finally time to set off and shoot the photo.
